Thinking this through a little more: maybe if there were a subscription that gives a checkmark and the monthly donation goes to the admin by default, or to @

He had a 'subscription' contribution option through paypal for years but shut that down for some reason i can't recall. Maybe that can be revisited or some other option like cryptocurrency or whatever makes sense to @

I know sending paypal across borders with currency exchange (ie, USD->AUD) costs a fortune, maybe 20% to 25% even. You don't want to involve them in currency exchange. It would be cheaper to do a Western Union or Xoom, which by my calculation would cost around 8.5% on $100 USD, based on mid-market rate.
