(This got lots of laughs. Reagan was just finishing his second term in 1988 and one of his most famous quotes is "Mr. Gorbachev - tear down this wall" ... in 1987.)

Also in the clip - the very first "Flying Fickle Finger of Fate" award went to the US congress for failing to enact sensible gun control legislation, although to their credit they did restrict machine gun , rocket launcher, and hand grenade sales to the general public later that year.
